Transportation Services
The Los Rios Police Department (LRPD) offers free transportation services – such as safety escorts and vehicle jumpstarts – to increase convenience and safety for our students and employees.
Safety Escort
Our officers can provide safety escorts to students and employees at each of the four main campuses. If there is an emergency or other priority in progress, then we may not be able to provide an escort.
For the safety of our officers, all persons being transported in district police vehicles must ride in the back seat. The only exceptions are district employees and authorized civilian ride-alongs.
Vehicle Jumpstart/Unlock
LRPD provides students and employees with free battery jumpstarts and vehicle unlocks. Please be advised that unlocks can only be attempted on vehicles with manual locks.
To receive these services, you must read and sign a release of liability form supplied to you by the responding officer. Please be prepared to provide your location and vehicle information, such as the year, make, model, and license plate number.
Requesting Services
These services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To request a safety escort or jumpstart/unlock request, call dispatch at (916) 558-2221 or use a blue emergency phone at your campus or outreach center.
