Free Transportation Services for Students and Employees

Los Rios Police Department offers free transportation services to increase convenience and safety for students and employees.

Safety Escort

Our officers can provide free safety escorts to students and employees at all of our locations. If there is an emergency or other priority in progress, then we may not be able to provide a safety escort. We will only provide a safety escort to an off-campus location in the event of an emergency.

To request a safety escort, call dispatch at (916) 558-2221. You can also use a blue emergency phone on campus to call dispatch and request a safety escort. We can provide safety escorts 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

For the safety of our officers, all persons being transported in district police vehicles must ride in the back seat. The only exceptions are district employees and authorized civilian ride-alongs.
