Using Bikes, Skateboards, Scooters, and Hoverboards on Campus

  • You may ride your bike, skateboard, scooter, or hoverboard on campus roadways and in parking lots for the purpose of transportation to and from campus.
  • Do not ride your bike, skateboard, scooter, or hoverboard on walking paths, sidewalks, inner campus areas, or inside buildings.

Parking Racks

Bikes and scooters must be locked to a rack. Racks are located throughout our campuses and parking a bike or scooter at them is free. Bikes, skateboards, scooters, and hoverboards are not permitted in the parking structures.

If you secure your bike or scooter to a structure that is not an official bike rack – such as a handrail or light post – then Los Rios Police Department may cut your lock and remove it. Locking your bike to a non-official structure can cause hazard to pedestrians, especially those with disabilities.

Lockers

At some campuses, you can rent a locker for your bike, skateboard, scooter, or hoverboard. Contact your campus Business Services Office for more information.
