In the event of a power failure, call Los Rios Police at (916) 558-2221 (then press zero).
Most of our buildings are equipped with emergency lighting that will go on automatically if a power failure occurs.
Los Rios Police or college officials will decide whether evacuation is necessary. If evacuation is ordered, then use the stairs – do not use an elevator.
Elevators may stop working during fires, power failures, and other emergencies, so evacuees should use the stairs.
If people get trapped in an elevator, then tell the police or college officials. Maintenance staff will assist people trapped in an elevator. Try to communicate to anyone who is trapped in an elevator that help is on the way.
